U18 EAST B1 EAST 2 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

With the disappointment of our Minor Hurlers defeat to Fermoy in the County

Semi final behind us we turned to the big ball playing two games in the football Championship in the past couple of weeks. Our first game was against Killeagh / Itas where we won on a scoreline of 3:14 to 1:10. The halftime score was 1:04 to 0:03 in Killeagh / Itas

favour. In that first half we had alot of chances going for goals instead of tapping

over the points this was corrected at the halftime team talk, An early goal from Ger Millerick and further points from Jason Hankard, Peter Hassett and Ciaran Cuillinane

got us back into the lead. We never looked back after this and Ciaran Cuillinane with two further goals we ran out comfortable winners. We scored 3:11 in that second half

what a transformation. We went on and played Glanmire second string in Rostellan

and we won on a scoreline of 7:09 to 0:02. Not a whole lot to report on this game with

awful weather conditions on the day. Glanmire with only fourteen players had an

uphill struggle in that first half playing against the wind and rain was not a help.

We had a very comfortable lead at half time there was no coming back for Glanmire

we were to run out easy winners.

C. Dunne, C.Sloane, O. Steele, A.Mcevoy, D.Barry, C. O Connor, D Griffin, A. Leahy,

B.Kenneally, N.Khemthong, S.Walsh  C.Lee.

We have qualified for the final where we will play Kiltha Og this coming Saturday.
