Cork Minor Hurlers.

Semple stadium was the venue for the Cork v Clare double header last Sunday as you all know.

After a hectic week the Minor team became worthy Munster Champions. Ger Millerick played in the half back line and can certainly be proud of his performance throughout the game. They now go on to the All Ireland semi-final on August 13th in Croke Park.

U15 Hurling Championship.

St. Catherines 3:09 v Fr. O’Neills 2:07.

Ballynoe was the venue for this semi-final game played last week. After beating Watergrasshill in the previous round confidence was high going into this game. In front of a fine crowd this was a great game with both teams giving their all. Rian O Brien got an early goal with a ground stroke but St. Catherines responded with a goal and a point of their own further scores from Tom Wall,Ciaran McHugh and James Murphy gave us a half time lead of 2:05 to 1:04. St Catherines got some early scores after the resumption to bring the lead down to a point midway through the second half. Further scores were exchanged but a goal on the twentieth minute from St. Cats. put daylight between the teams a couple of late points gave them a 5 point win. The lads can be proud of the performance with all players giving 100%. A special mention to Sean O Riordan at centre back, Brian Coleman and Darragh Higgins who worked tirelessly throughout. Up front Tom Wall, Ciaran McHugh, Conor Greene and James Murphy got some great scores, I've mentioned a few but in fairness all the other players and subs. put in a great shift for the sixty minutes. Best of luck to St. Catherines in the final.
